Losing Our Identity

2 Corinthians 10:12 We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise. One of the hardest things to do when you are unhappy, bored or disouraged is to not compare your life with someone else's. Some have called it a comparison trap. Oftentimes when we are idle or restless in our own lives, we seem to notice what is going on and into the lives of others. When this happens we lose our own identity. It's not wise to compare yourself to another person or your life to their life.  Don't fall into the trap of comparing yourself to others. You are exactly the way you are supposed to be. Don't let the weakness in you affect the greatness in you. You have been given all that you need to be the success that God desires for you. Settle down and settle in to that best version of you that we all want to see. You are amazing!

The Verdict

John 3:19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed.21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.
If you have ever watched Law and Order or served on jury duty you are well aware of the courtroom and what goes on there. Evidence presented by legal teams to a jury of impartial people to determine whether the one being tried is guilty or not guilty.
We use the phrase "the jury is out" to describe a season when the answer is still pending. One of the most stressful times in the court process is waiting for the decision of the jury. We are waiting for the verdict.
Jesus made sure we would realize that when it comes to His love and what it really is, the answer is here. The verdict is in.  The light has come and lit up all mankind and now those who have accepted him have become the light. God is love and love is God. Seeing others in need and doing what you can is your beta test. God gave His one and only Son. He gave his best for you so you could live your best for him. The verdict is in. Jesus has paid it all on the cross and you have been declared NOT GUILTY!
