Losing Our Identity

2 Corinthians 10:12 We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise. One of the hardest things to do when you are unhappy, bored or disouraged is to not compare your life with someone else's. Some have called it a comparison trap. Oftentimes when we are idle or restless in our own lives, we seem to notice what is going on and into the lives of others. When this happens we lose our own identity. It's not wise to compare yourself to another person or your life to their life.  Don't fall into the trap of comparing yourself to others. You are exactly the way you are supposed to be. Don't let the weakness in you affect the greatness in you. You have been given all that you need to be the success that God desires for you. Settle down and settle in to that best version of you that we all want to see. You are amazing!

Pray for Others

I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. 1Tim 2:1
How do you start your day? I have often wondered if how I began each day had a direct impact on how the entire day went. They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. What about when you have breakfast for dinner?
I think one of the best things we can do as we start our day is to still our mind and our bodies and find our peace. To thank God for another day of life, and then to take the advice of Paul to Timothy and pray for others. I think about my kids, then my parents, my brother and my sister and the list goes on. I pray that Gods blessing will overwhelm them during the day and that glorious surprises would meet them. And the last person I ask God to work in is me. In my morning place of peace, I pray.
This week, try to start your day by interceding for others and thanking God for them. Bless your children and those you love. And toss a little prayer in their for you before the day unleashes its fury. I am certain that there is no better way to start each day then this. Oh, and breakfast of course! Have an amazing favor-filled day!
