Losing Our Identity

2 Corinthians 10:12 We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise. One of the hardest things to do when you are unhappy, bored or disouraged is to not compare your life with someone else's. Some have called it a comparison trap. Oftentimes when we are idle or restless in our own lives, we seem to notice what is going on and into the lives of others. When this happens we lose our own identity. It's not wise to compare yourself to another person or your life to their life.  Don't fall into the trap of comparing yourself to others. You are exactly the way you are supposed to be. Don't let the weakness in you affect the greatness in you. You have been given all that you need to be the success that God desires for you. Settle down and settle in to that best version of you that we all want to see. You are amazing!

The Perfect Gift

"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." James 1:17
What is the perfect gift? Most of us would probably answer that question by saying that it would be something that we wanted very much. Others would lean to something that they really need. What we want and what we need may be far different things!
The good news today is that God gave you a gift. A good and perfect gift. When you give your heart to the Lord, that heart is changed. It is made new. It feels different, loves different, and causes you to act and speak differently too. We all have some type of heart trouble and for someone that battles heart disease, a new heart is the perfect gift! (literally and figuratively) Like all of God's gifts, a new heart is not only something we want but something we need. God always gives the perfect gift. When you live your life for Christ you realize that you are "gifted" in so many ways. Living a life that utilizes those gifts is our objective. And always remembering where they came from. EVERY good and perfect gift comes from Him. Share your perfect gift today!
