Losing Our Identity

2 Corinthians 10:12 We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise. One of the hardest things to do when you are unhappy, bored or disouraged is to not compare your life with someone else's. Some have called it a comparison trap. Oftentimes when we are idle or restless in our own lives, we seem to notice what is going on and into the lives of others. When this happens we lose our own identity. It's not wise to compare yourself to another person or your life to their life.  Don't fall into the trap of comparing yourself to others. You are exactly the way you are supposed to be. Don't let the weakness in you affect the greatness in you. You have been given all that you need to be the success that God desires for you. Settle down and settle in to that best version of you that we all want to see. You are amazing!

Hoarder of Confidence

"So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you!" Hebrews 10:35
I am becoming less and less of a hoarder. I used to keep just about everything because I firmly believed that I would need it some day in the future and there is nothing more frustrating than needing something that you had just got rid of! I would take boxes upon boxes from one place to the next and never even open them! So now if I have something that I neglect using in one year, I give it away. In my recent transition to the next adventure of ministry, I let go of nearly everything!
But there's one thing that I won't toss out. One thing that I can never let go of. That one thing is the confident trust that I have in what the Lord can and will do in my life. God is interested in everything that happens to us and He truly wants some amazing things to happen through us. We must not only believe that...we must place confident trust in the fact that he can do what He says. So I will continue being a hoarder of confidence...confidence in the Lord that is!
