Leaders don’t set out to be leaders. They set out to make a difference. I would add to this that they also set out to bring out the best in those that surround them. When you are able to extract and utilize the skills and abilities of those in your circle, you naturally grow by default. It’s simply impossible not to!
In fact its not just about the goal, its about the team coming together to achieve the absolute best for the organization. What are you doing to make the people connected to you become better? Raise the standard for all of those that follow you. And watch the entire project come alive and be elevated higher than ever. Set an excellent example. Be realistic with your goals. And coach your people to become all that they were intended to become.
