Last night, after a day of suddenly’s (some good and some bad) I went out for a walk to clear my head and ask God to heal my heart. Life has been an emotional roller-coaster for the last week and a half and to be honest...I’m exhausted. I’ve tried to maintain that daily smile and positivity but some of the curve balls have stolen my joy. So while I was walking, praying and crying out to the Lord, I just looked up. This is what I saw. A reminder from the Lord that He is in control and He will take care of all of the uneasiness and anxiety. It was a reminder to rest in His arms and let Him guide me through each moment. I smiled and said, thank you Lord. No matter what seems to be happening around us, God is at work in us and for us. Smile!

All things are possible if you believe. It's biblical. It's one of the principles in the kingdom of God that you can stand upon and see manifest every time. You can "take it to the bank" as they say. Most people have to see it to believe it. Show me that it happened and I will believe it did. We, however, as fully devoted followers of Christ, have to  believe it to see it.  We visualize the desired result and move in the direction of what we see. It really is a more exciting way to live. Faith is the substance of the things that we hope for. When we step out on nothing we take a risk. Any risk that requires faith to produce a godly result is what we call faithfulness. That means that we are FULL of FAITH. And we know that we get that FAITH from hearing the things that edify and encourage us. It all comes from the Word of God. Today, place yourself in an environment that is positive and energized by people dreaming BIG. Believe in that dream that you know God gave yo

You Look Lovely!

It’s absolutely true that good thoughts combined with a life of good deeds makes you beautiful. In fact the Bible says that praise looks good on you! When we live our lives honoring the Lord, our countenance changes. Why? Because we are no longer selfish, jealous or envious. We honor others ahead of ourselves. So why would anyone want to look like they are baptized in pickle juice? If you are happy, notify your face! Good thoughts will shine out on your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.  “It’s time to sing and shout for joy! Go ahead, all you redeemed ones, do it! Praise him with all you have, for praise looks lovely on the lips of God’s lovers.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭33:1‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Thanks Lord!

This weekend, our church opened up again with limited capacity and all of the CDC guidelines and protocols in place. As people started to take their physically distanced seats, you could feel the anticipation and hear the wonderful sounds of people talking to each other. Yes, it was muffled a bit through the masks they were wearing! As the service began, in one voice and at the same time this group erupted in praise to the Lord for the opportunity to worship together. It was emotional and it was special.  I didn’t realize how much I had missed this until it was taken away and then given back again.  Lord, I wonder how many other things I might take for granted? Help me to never again look at coming together in a worship community as something I have to do or at times may do with the wrong attitude. Thank you for the incredible privilege of being part of a gathering of people like this one. I will cherish every moment and continue to seek your presence in a personal way each time I en

Building a Life

For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything. “Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s house,” bearing witness to what would be spoken by God in the future. But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory .  Hebrews 3:4-6  Did you realize that each and every day you are building something? Every word is a timber, every action a nail putting that word into place. And when all of it comes together it builds the life that you are going to live. Makes you think a bit doesn't it? We need to be careful to let God provide us the Master plan for the life we are supposed to build. After all He is the builder of everything-the Grand Architect. But He needs us to carry the project through. So what kind of house(life) are you building? The wrong words and actions are like warped wood and dull nails. We are Gods house! Be confident, hope in him and get building

When was the last time you stepped out in faith? I mean truly stepped out into something without having any idea how it would turn out? The faith-filled life can be quite adventurous and exciting. But you must trust in whatever or whomever you are putting your faith in.  I have experienced so many moments in my life when I placed all of my trust in the Lord and stepped into the unknown with a total assurance that it would turn out in the best possible way for me. I can honestly say that the end result wasn’t always what I expected but that is the part of faith that I love. It may not be what you want but it will be what you need. Ask the Lord today how you can trust in Him more and begin to live a life full of faith. Don’t make it your last resort. Make it your first thought. You won’t be disappointed.

Something Beautiful

Ever had one of those depressing, negative, spirit declaring seasons? I'm sure you have! We all go through times like this. When I have times like these the adversity sends me back to Christ for some answers. Let me share with you something simple that I have learned.  Beautiful pictures are created from negatives in a dark room . In this world we will have trouble.  Jesus said that it would get very dark. But He didn’t stop there. He said be of good cheer because He will take all of that adversity and make something beautiful!  So when life gets very dark with people and things going negative, you just have to prepare yourself because some beautiful pictures are about to develop. Let that soak in a bit. Could you use a few beautiful pictures? Hang in there and let the negatives go through that darkroom. I think you're going to like what develops!
