The Bright Side

Let's be honest, most of us look at things from a pretty dark place initially. We may eventually resolve to being more positive but personally, I often expected the worst and hoped for the best. We say to ourselves,"that way we won't be as disappointed."  As I grow older, I realize many truths more clearly. Life isn't always fair. No one owes me anything. Good people can do bad things. The list can go on and on. I have also realized that looking for the best outcome from the start expends less energy(emotionally, mentally and physically) for me than fretting about the bad that could happen. Yes, I am one of those "silver lining" people. I try to find the silver lining in every situation that appears difficult. I expect the best of people. (though some have proved me wrong). Here is the bottom line: No one ever injured their eyesight by looking on the bright side!

It's really interesting to me how hard forgiveness seems to be for us. I believe it is because our perception of forgiveness has more to do with the person that wronged us than it does ourselves. Imagine that the wrong done to you was like a coat that you were forced to wear every single day. You feel all the emotions while you are wearing it. When you see it on you in a mirror it reminds you of what happened over and over again. And then one day, you realize that YOU have the power to take off that coat! What? Wouldn't you do it? Of course you would do it in a heartbeat. Forgiveness is like taking off that coat. It disconnects you from what was done and gives it to the Lord to deal with. It sheds all of the harmful emotions that covered you. Forgiveness is the key that sets YOU free. If you are wearing a coat of pain, anger and embarrassment, let today be the day you take it off. Forgive yourself for being unaware that YOU had the power all along. And then let God handle the

Be grateful for the times in your life when the Lord gave you what you needed over what you wanted.  Sometimes not getting what you want can be the best thing for you.

Your Faith Account

Most of the things in my life that I step out in faith to do are way over my head. If I looked rationally at the circumstances I would usually just say "not going to happen". But then I realized that when God calls me to it, God will bring me through it. For me, it didn't just happen. There was trust in Him every single day and a lot of obedience on the journey. You need to believe that God is able to do what He says. He just loves to use US! And for that I am forever grateful. How's your faith account today? Fill it up! Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. Feed your faith so that you will be ready to walk with him on the path that leads to His desire which always is the best thing for you!

We do not see things as they are, we see things as WE are.

You were made to stand out so just get go and be outstanding!💙

I’ve not felt a moment this year when there was such “anticipation” in my spirit. So much so that I decided to look closer at the meaning of the word and here is what I found: Anticipation : the action of anticipating something; expectation or prediction. You may remember the song that played along with a popular ketchup bottle that was being poured out while the singer sang that word...anticipation; it’s makin’ me wait! It’s keepin’ me waitin’. Expectation is a huge part of this emotion. So I am asking myself, what am I expecting? Why this anticipation? It seems that right now I have an overwhelming sense that God is about to do something supernatural and incredible in me, through me and for me. I smile as I type out those words. It’s strong and it’s consistent. And I like the feeling. I am expecting to be “surprised” by divine blessings at any moment! That makes me smile too. I must say, it feels much better to be expecting these things over being worried about what bad things could

Mouths and Ears

Yes, indeed. Perhaps we should open our ears to hear what others are saying and not worry so much about opening our mouths! Remember, we also have 2 ears and 1 mouth!😀
